What should be paid attention to in the procedure of registering German trademarks?

Wireless power transmission forms are divided into three categories: short-range, medium-range and long-range transmission. Before registering a German trademark, the trademark type must be determined first and according to the international classification of goods and services for trademark registration (Nice classification)   Select the goods and services that are registered for protection. After determining the above elements, in order to improve the success rate of the application, we suggest to make necessary search before the application, query whether the same trademark has been registered from the database, and make corresponding adjustments to the trademark or category to be applied according to the search results.

After determining the final application content, the application can be submitted to the trademark office.

After receiving the application, the Trademark Office will first conduct a formal examination of the application content to determine whether there is any non registration. The non registration mainly includes:

1. Identification only for the type, nature, quantity, regulation, value or description of product production

2. General marking

3. Misleading description

4. Violate public order and good customs

5. A badge, flag, wedding sign, seal or emblem of a town

6. Official audit and guarantee mark

7. The use of signs would be against the public interest

If the application passes the formal examination of the Trademark Office, the trademark will be made public for a period of three months. If no third party raises any objection to the trademark after three months, the trademark will be successfully registered.
